Hip Hop coming together? I don't know if I totally agree with that statement. I think Hip Hop artist only support each other, when someone outside of Hip Hop is downing hip hop. I guess I'm biased because I no longer listen to secular hip hop, but to me soul artist have always been in the back ground and never received their just dues. Maybe in the late 90's early 2000's, but that is where real music still lies and it's time that soul music makes it's way back into the mainstream of everyone's mind. Just my little ramble.
Oh wow visually that was fascinating. As far as music goes it just seems like it is imploding. Music seems to be like this clique that if you aren't a part of it then you can't join the club. I agree with BigT. Some of the best music in the world is not mainstream. I'm okay with that. But I'm not an artist trying to make a career of this craft either. I honestly think the plug has been pulled on hip hop and there ain't no coming back. I think we need a new genre of music made up of music that we actually like by artists we actually respect.
